I have been a business owner for over 26 years and have represented hundreds of clients in different industries as an attorney over that period. A hard lesson learned is that office staff, particularly receptionists, can make or break your business. The first contact between your business and a new client is the person answering the phone. Inexperience, lack of care, and even maliciousness can destroy your business notwithstanding your hard work and dollars spent.
Think about this. Huge dollars are spent in marketing to bring in potential clients. Whether responding to a Google advertisement or other media placement, your lead attempts to contact with your business. A call that is mishandled is not just marketing dollars lost but the death knell of revenue itself.
On the flip side, finding an excellent receptionist is like sifting for diamonds in the workplace. Occasionally a truly wonderful employee stands out who not only understands what you are trying to accomplish but has a unique ability to connect with potential clients and bring them in. I have often asked myself, what traits does such an exemplary receptionist have?
My consideration of the above issues and interest in AI as an attorney, futurist, and programmer, led me to create Julia_AI.
